The current Model Range comprises of the Vantage V8, DB9 and the DBS.  These all come with Bluetooth connectivity as standard.  However we have found that the Motorola based control box has a problem of compatibility with Symbian based devices (Nokia E series and N series) and Blackberry devices.  Unfortunately the control box is not upgradeable to any new devices that will be released either.

Bluetooth for Aston MartinThe solution we offer to owners and dealers is to disconnect the existing Bluetooth kit and install a Parrot Bluetooth device. We are now able to offer integration to the existing steering wheel controls. To cars that have no Bluetooth connectivity, we can install a Hands Free Kit from scratch, as was required by a member of the Aston Martin Owners Club in his pristine Vanquish.

At all times we are in constant contact with the technical services staff at the factory to ensure we have the correct information and working practises for the car.  We have been on numerous visits to the production line to see exactly how the cars are assembled, to enable us to know how they come to pieces again!

We have one fixed price of £599 (incl VAT) for the installation of any Hands Free Kit into any Aston Martin anywhere in the country.  This will also include a warranty on the equipment and Labour for as long as the client keeps the car.  Should we fit the Parrot Bluetooth device, then this will have new software loaded to it as and when required, again at any time during the ownership of the car.

Background

We were asked to assist a dealer with the installation of a Parrot Bluetooth kit into a DB9, this we did by cutting and connecting wires to enable connection to the radio and amplifier system, using the wiring diagrams.  Having successfully completed this, we thought that there must be a better and easier way of doing this.  So we went to a manufacturer of the radio mute cable harnesses and explained what we required.  They came up with a solution to our design and this now allows us to integrate car kits to any of the range of vehicles, without compromising the excellent sound quality of the audio system.  We have now made this available to all Aston Martin dealers and clients.
